31. Dive Komati Springs

Just over two hour’s drive from Hazyview, spend your day on the most unique scuba diving experience you will ever have by discovering a converted mining site and its intricate cave and tunnel system. After a large refurbishment project in 2002, the mine has been converted into a pristine diving environment.

2. Abseil Hazyview

Situated in Hazyview, here you can get a unique perspective of the Sabi River by abseiling down a 27-metre high granite outcrop, offering spectacular views as far as the Kruger National Park and the Lowveld. The entire duration of the abseil experience takes 3 – 4 hours.

23. Aerial Cable Trail

Also found in Hazyview, this tree-top challenge presents an elevated obstacle course or system of high ropes connected between poles and trees, forming a giant ‘jungle gym’ for both adults and children to explore. The course itself is made up of 18 elements, set within a private natural reserve along the Sabie River.

4. Elephant Whispers

While not as daring as the above activities, visiting Elephant Whispers gives you an opportunity to get up close and personal with these intelligent, gentle giants. Enjoy a day long elephant encounter with an early morning back ride along the Sabi River, lunch and elephant interaction, ending off the day with a sunset back ride and complimentary sundowners. Elephant Whispers is found just 30 minutes outside of Hazyview.

5. Gecko River Tubing

Located just 10 minutes from Hazyview, this is tubing with a difference. Experience the rapids of the Sabi River and its beautiful natural surroundings by paddling down the river with ‘wrist fins’ – no paddles needed! Very easy to steer and very safe, this tubing experience is great for family and friends and a day out in the sunshine. The tour is approximately 2.5 hours long and cold beverages are supplied.
