You are able to traverse the area in your own vehicle on designated roads, although a vehicle with 4×4 capabilities ensures a smoother ride.
If you are keen to explore the natural wonders that Mpumalanga has to offer, all major attractions are located relatively close to Doornkop resort, but it is recommended that a ‘day trip’ be made out any of these excursions.Visit Barberton to view some of the oldest known rock formations in all of the world, recorded at 3.5 billion years old, or take a drive out to Graskop and marvel at the view out of ‘God’s Window’ located within the world’s third largest canyon, the Blyde River Canyon.
