On Saturday, 7th March 2015 the staff of the Bushman’s Nek Berg and Trout resort as well as the Resort Manager Igmar Loock visited the Clouds of Hope Children’s Care Centre.
The home is a residential care facility that looks after about 63 children from as young as 10 months up to 18 years old. During their visit they donated some racquets, balls and board games so that the children could have some recreational and sporting equipment. The resort also raised money for the home through ticket sales from their weekly Spin and Win game.
This is what the Resort Manager, Igmar Loock had to say about his visit to the home: “It was such a wonderful and heart-warming experience. The kids were really excited to see us and receive their equipment. Hopefully we will be able to visit again, because the staff and I enjoyed our time spent with them and loved seeing the children smile.”
The Clouds of Hope Children’s Christian Care Centre has been operating since the year 2000. The children that are cared for at the home are children that have been abandoned, affected by HIV/Aids, or parentless. The home is supported by local churches, farmers and businesses within the Underberg area. The children are educated at local schools from preschool to Grade 12. If you would like to get involved with the home or make a contribution towards the upbringing of these wonderful children, please feel free to visit and find out how you can change the lives of these kids.
